Invasion 2012
So again the invasion happens. And this year, it was no screw up, no bombshell. It was fucking awesome. I'm gonna make this short and put a video from it, but I would like to say that it was one of the best memories I'll have from highschool. Just considering the relation to all the bombshells in the past, this year was just plain fun.

Games I've been playing.
So it's the dry season of gaming. The point where no big titles are coming out. Most of the crap that IS coming out is really bad. It's just the games from small publishers, indie games, crap like that. And I mean mostly. There still being the few gem releases every now and again like Prototype 2. With major titles coming up this fall like Black Ops 2, Halo 4, and Assassins Creed 3 it's hard to really care about anything that's making it's way into my hands lately. All except Diablo 3.
Now, I know what you're thinking. Why so many sequels? Will there ever be a new original game idea? The answer is yes, and the answer is no. For the time being, people are rather comfortable with their sequels, and publishers are making gross amounts of money off them as is. Why fix what isn't broken? I'd imagine in the next five years the sequelitis will have to settle down and publishers will actually think about the games they make again. No longer will we see titles with a number after it. (Except for Halo five and six, which will further ruin the games I used to love.) But back to Diablo 3. As far as sequels go, this is something that is actually needed and will be a HUGE improvement to the Diablo branch of Blizzard. Diablo 2 could hardly be called 3 demensional, and looked like complete shit. But it was fun. Some of the most fun I've ever had with a dungeon crawler. The possibilities were endless, and it was just straight up fun killing people and taking their ears. Keep this in mind, it was made in the 90's. It's 2012. That is a century in the gaming world. Hell, even a year or two can put your game back in the stone age with the new graphical and gameplay developments. Diablo 3 is going to take everything people loved about Diablo 2, give it a new paint job, a new set of classes and skils, and a brand new story where we get to fuck up that big ass demon again. Needless to say, i'm excited.
Now a little less looking toward the future, and let's take a look at a game i've recently played called "Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2." I'm a freak about marvel, and I love all of their heroes, so it's rather amazing that I didn't realize this came out so long ago. It starts out in some random ass country, and Fury takes Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, and Wolverine to go kill some crazy bitch who wants to take over the world or something. To tell you the truth I kinda blew right through it and didn't really see the significance to the plot, except for a few years time skip where they show the group killing the girl presumed dead in the random ass place whose trying to blow up the city. Shortly after that Iron Man and Cap discover Fury is a huge dickhead and blow up one of his drones. You kinda see that Fury is just a crazy bastard the whole game. Now gameplay is awesome. You play with four different Marvel heroes and you can switch between all of them and their unique powers. And that's not the best part, you can combine their powers to do some crazy ass finishers. Nothing was more fun to be than letting Iron Man shoot lasers at Wolverines claws and having him deflect them everywhere and kill everything. One of the best parts of this game (I'm not sure if this is any sort of canon to the real story lines of Marvel) the government makes it so superheroes have to register with the government or be killed and Captain America leads a resistance against Iron Man and shield. Needless to say (Playing as wolverine the whole time) I loved joining Cap and seeing him beat Iron Man's ass. I'm not going to spoil anymore, but I'd highly reccomend this game if you're into the superhero business. And a tip from me, fuck everyone from the fantastic four, they're all horrible. Especially the human torch. Just stick to this guy and the mutant healing factor >:D

Procrastination

Today is Friday yet again, it's humid, it's rainy, lightning all last night. I'm sick. Maybe it's a seasonal thing. Makes me glad i'm going to college more up north. The blog is a fun way to not work on my English portfolio, considering I'm sick and don't want to work. My school's prom is tonight I think. Don't really care. Gonna go chill with my friends. Besides, I'm going to Cortland's next week. Not sure how lame that will be. So yeah. There we go.

Robots
So, yesterday Black Ops 2 release date was announced. And I'm psyched. Mostly because every single treyarch CoD game has been placed in the 20th century. Be it WW2 or WW1, even vietnam(Black Ops.) Now they're really pushing their limits by throwing us into the year 2025 where unmanned armies of robots have fallen into the wrong hands, and war ravages the world. After the previous installment I'm pretty excited to see what they do with the story of the single player. After such a time skip who knows what could happen. I also hope they make the multiplayer a little better because lets face it, Black Ops sucked in that department.
Oh. And there better be Zombies. Or I'll be pissed.

Friday frrriiiiiidddaayyyyy.
Friday, usually I would spend my night doing miscellaneous fun things with my bros but unfortunately due to some progress report nonsense, they can't. So that's cool. I left my car parked in the lot beside my house. I'm sort of wondering if it has a ticket on it. Would I be surprised? No. No, not really.
So, two days ago I beat a game that had just come out called Prototype 2. Perhaps you've heard of it. I would like to start out by saying it was literally the best game I've played in 2012 and I'm not sure what exactly could top it in the future. You take the role of soldier James Heller. Which is a bit different from the first game, as the first game you play as a crazy ass scientist that got superpowers by unleashing a virus on NYC named Alex Mercer. Essentially, Mercers virus killed Hellers wife and he was a bit pissed, intent on killing Mercer. You start out in a tank, which is shortly blown right the fuck up and you are the only surviving member of your team in the highly infected Manhattan area. You find out the one who blew your shit up was Mercer himself, and you kindly go slit his throat. Now if you know anything about the first game, you would know that a knife couldn't kill Mercer. Never. He knocks you back, then prods you to follow him. On your little walk, a few of the new enemies attack you. You kill a brawler with a knife. Which is a little ridiculous, as they're giant gorilla like infected, but I can't really complain. It was badass. A more notable experience is running away from a Behemoth. A giant-ass new type of enemy that will fuck you up. Real bad. After all this, Mercer finds you and infects you, turning you into a super-powered crazy fuck. And after a rather painful realization and an escape from a lab, you are now running the streets of NYC, with a small truce between you and Mercer.
I was okay with this. Mostly because I really liked Mercer in the first game. The gameplay in the game is absolutely incredible. The first game times 100. It's just so great, the design is so perfect, the combat is so engaging. I'd recommend it to absolutely everyone. So yeah... go play it...
